Ina Garten takes over Google

A news by 4usnews:Google is prepping for Thanksgiving early today with Ina Garten recipes. The famous Google Doodle is not a doodle today — it’s a photograph of Thanksgiving ingredients handpicked by the Barefoot Contessa herself. At first, I was a bit dismayed by the doodle forgoing a drawing, but Garten makes up for any slight with her recipe offerings. Especially her popover recipe. It’s sort of a Bell family mainstay, and although you really should have them for breakfast, smothered in butter and hot syrup, I can’t really get mad at anyone who loves popovers.

The Post’s Liz Seymour wrote of the famous chef in 2008:

She is an icon because her message is universal and empowering. Don’t cook all the food; buy some. Keep the table settings simple. Do most of the work the day before the party. All good rules to follow at this most stressful entertaining time of the year. It is hard, she said, but you can do it.

A news by yahoofreeshop:Those wacky folks at Google have come up with another funky Google doodle for us today in honor of Thanksgiving. It’s a selection of Thanksgiving recipes from chef Ina Garten that would be perfect for your kids this Thanksgiving! But wait – who is Ina Garten?

Turns out she’s the Barefoot Contessa. Google was just getting all formal on us. There’s a turkey recipe, one for popovers and another for roasted Brussels sprouts (um, actually my kids would never eat that, but I would). The three other recipes are smashed sweet potatoes, cranberry fruit conserve and pumpkin banana mousse tart....
