R.I.P!Paul, The World Cup's Psychic Octopus

A news by 4usnews:NewsFeed is sad to announce that Paul, the famous psychic octopus who shot to fame after predicting the outcomes of World Cup this summer, died Tuesday. He lived just two and a half years.

After passing away peacefully during the night of natural causes, Paul will be remembered for predicting the winners of all Germany's World Cup clashes, and then the final by selecting Spain over the Netherlands. Just before each game, the Octopus would choose one of two boxes, each loaded with a mussel food treat and marked on the outside with one of the teams. (He also made an enemy in Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.)

Staff at the aquarium center where he lived said his death was not entirely unexpected, since common octopuses generally only live a few years. Paul's body is now in cold storage while the aquarium decides "how best to mark his passing." "We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds and erect a modest permanent shrine," said Stephan Porwell, manager of the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in Germany. However, Paul's fans need not despair–his aquarium is said to be grooming a successor, also to be named Paul. (Even though, chances are, he won't be psychic.) Mel Gibson Will Testify in Child Custody Battle

A news by 4usnews:After months of speculation, rumors and insane Mel Gibson rants, we'll finally hear from the actor himself. Or at least a judge will. He's being deposed Monday.

Oksana Grigorieva's lawyers finally snagged a sit-down interview with Gibson, though the deposition will only involve their child custody battle over Lucia.

In other words, domestic violence allegations against him are off-limits.

Mel will finally give his side of the story. Sort of.

"Mel's team agreed to have him sit for the deposition November 1," a source said. "Mel will decline to discuss the alleged assault on Oksana, citing his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination given the active police investigation."

Oksana Grigorieva - already in crisis after their family law specialist quit on Sunday - is facing even more obstacles behind the scenes, as she feels she does not have a qualified lawyer who can interrogate the Oscar-winning actor/director.

Her lead attorney, Martin Garbus, is unable to practice in California after a judge rejected his pro hac vice motion last week, as Radar Online reported.

Oksana's other lawyer, Lisa Bloom, will be in London to speak before the House of Commons on climate change on the same day Mel is being deposed.

Given Garbus' inability to be admitted in California, and Bloom's scheduling conflict, it is unclear who is going to take Mel's deposition, sources report.

Daniel Horowitz is her only attorney available.

Oksana's lawyers have been trying to schedule a deposition with Mel since August after he missed two dates due to his vacation with his children.

However, a Los Angeles judge ordered Mel to submit to the attorneys' questioning before another judge and gave him a November 10 deadline......

He was armed with an automatic weapon and began shooting, several students heard shots but didn’t see any casualties.

The gunman entered the Perry-Castaneda Library and proceeded to the top floor and is confirmed dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The University of Texas at Austin remains on lock-down as police and SWAT teams continue to search for a possible second suspect in this morning’s shooting at the Perry-Castaneda Library.

At a press conference moments ago, both University of Texas Police Chief Robert Dawson and Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo did not rule out the possibility of a second suspect still hiding on campus.
