The Return of Michael Myers is a horror film in 1988 and the third continuation of the series Halloween movie, directed by Dwight H. Little and written by Alan B. McElroy. The central plot focuses on Michael Myers returned home to kill his niece Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris), the daughter of Laurie Strode, with Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) again him.
As the name implies, the fourth installment marks the return of Michael Myers, the central villain of Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981), due to his absence in Halloween III: Season of Witches (1982). Initially, John Carpenter and co-producer Debra Hill retired Myers plot outline after the second installment of the series, intending to feature a new Halloween-related film follows each of which Halloween III would be in the first place. However, due to the lack of success of the third film, Halloween 4 re-Myers related plot.
The film was a moderate box office success grossing $ 17 million domestic by $ 5 million. He received a mixed reaction to critics, however, generally well received by fans of the series Halloween. It was, however, several criticized for not introducing anything “original” or “innovative” in the series.
The film begins on Oct. 30, 1988, with an atmospheric establishing shots of farmland. Later in the dark rainy night, we follow the ambulance truck on its way to pick up Michael Myers from Ridgemont sanatorium. Michael Myers was in a coma for 10 years since Halloween II. Ambulance truck comes to the transfer of Michael Myers, to Smith’s Grove, Michael wakes up, hearing of his niece is still alive in Haddonfield and kills four ambulance personnel and shoots. Jamie Lloyd, Laurie Strode’s daughter and niece, Michael, was adopted by the Carruthers family. Strode, believed to be killed in a car crash. Jamie knows that Michael is her uncle, but I do not know that he is a man whom she had nightmares about.
help a sister on Oct. 31, 1988, and Jamie, Rachel, Jamie has to look that night – instead of on a date with her boyfriend Brady – while Mr. and Mrs. Carruthers to go out. Michael kills a mechanic and a waitress on the way and makes it Haddonfield. We learn that Dr. Loomis survived the fire of Halloween II. Loomis sets off to find him ..
At school, Jamie is teasing children because she is an orphan and Rachel picks her up and takes her to buy a Halloween costume. Michael steals a mask from the store, they can go to, and tries to attack Jamie. Michael is gone, when Rachel comes in and they go home, after getting Jamie clown costume. Loomis convinces a new sheriff (Beau Starr), to go to Rachel’s house and they discover Michael was there and killed the family dog on Sunday. Michael kills worker at the plant and causes blackout. Rachel and Jamie to go trick or treating, where Rachel finds out Brady cheating with his daughter sheriff, Kelly. In the process, she loses Jamie. Loomis and the sheriff found Michael smashed a police station and killed two men inside. Men, show bar, and Loomis set them to kill Michael against the wishes of the sheriffs. They accidentally shoot someone thinking it was Michael.
Rachel, after briefly chased Michael, said Jamie and Loomis and the sheriff come and take Jamie and Rachel’s house the sheriff’s where Kelly and Brady are. They lock and board up the house and Loomis says Jamie of his uncle. Loomis goes to look for Michael, who gets entry into the house and killed the deputy then Kelly. Michael chases Brady, Rachel and Jamie. Michael kills Brady and forces Jamie and Rachel on the roof, and knocked off the roof Rachel allegedly killing her. Jamie runs away and grabbed Loomis. Both shelter in an elementary school. How to gain entry, and Michael Loomis throws through the window, Jamie runs and falls down, leaving her helpless. Rachel pops out and sprays Michael with a fire extinguisher.
Rachel and Jamie out of school, and four of them from a person drive them away in a safe place. Michael, however, that hung on the bottom of the truck, pops up and kills them, leaving only the newly Rachel and Jamie left. Rachel drives a car and manages to throw Michael off the roof. Then it hits Michael with a car, sending him into a ditch. Arrival of the police and Jamie kneels down next to Michael and keeps his hand. Michael sits down and the police to shoot him until he falls through the shaft. Rachel and Jamie home, and Mrs. Carruthers goes upstairs to start Jamie bathroom. Suddenly, Jamie missing pair of scissors and stabs Mrs. Carruthers as Michael did with his sister. Then she stood menacingly at the top of the stairs, covered in blood, as Loomis screams in terror and others look on in disbelief.
